Inauguration of the Sedimenti exhibition – Fondazione Plart
On November 28, the Plart Museum in Naples opens with two exhibitions dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, both under the patronage of ADI Campania.
The first is an exhibition by Mario Coppola, curated by Luigi Nicolais, entitled Sedimenti: digital images created with artificial intelligence have become architectural plastic objects and three-dimensional compositions, 3D printed with eco-friendly materials: vegetable resin or corn starch. The works will enrich the important collection of the Museum of Plastics.
The exhibition is joined by Mario Capasso’s immersive installation Who am A.I.? “It represents a space for reflection on the relationship between humans and AI,” explains the author. “Artificial intelligence is now a constant presence in our lives and challenges us to reconsider the meaning of ‘human’ and to explore the connections between mind, machine and consciousness, provoking new ethical and philosophical questions. Humans will no longer be able to compete with AI in developing perfect answers, but perhaps we will continue to be the only ones who can imagine the right questions. Intelligence is asking questions.”
Both events are part of the A.I. Design project, which explores the new frontier of Artificial Intelligence. Produced by the Plart Foundation with the artistic direction of Anna Fresa, it offers objects created by the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence, and then made with eco-friendly materials in the name of hybridization, understood as the foundation of post-human philosophy. The exhibition path completed by virtual animations and a soundtrack, aims to offer a moment of reflection and reworking of the relationships between humans and A.I.
